Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Recruiter to support Service Centers with recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

The role involves travel to service centers and events, collaborating with the Recruiting Manager, building a strong candidate pipeline through social media, job boards and referrals, screening applicants, conducting interviews, coordinating interviews, and guiding new hires through onboarding and orientation at the center level.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience interviewing candidates and reviewing applications is a plus.
• Strong computer skills including MS Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, search agencies, etc.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interview applicants in-person and virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Follow up with candidates during the interview process.
• Advance candidates through the interview and hiring process in the applicant tracking system.
• Create training schedules for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at the Service Center level.
• Train new Service Center employees.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview

• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires withon-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
