Overview

Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a decisive, focused, and energeticRecruiterinSt. Joseph, MOto join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.

  • Promote the company’s leading reputation and culture.
  • Involved with the full-cycle recruiting process – applicant to onboarding as a new hire.
  • Recruit for a wide variety of positions including professional, skilled trades/craft, construction, and operations.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with Hiring Managers to understand their specific talent needs.
  • Maintain timely and meaningful communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Determine appropriate sourcing strategies including posting jobs, database searches, networking, promoting job/profile pages, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and applicant/job information in our applicant tracking system.
  • Provide guidance related to the market and the candidate pipeline, as well as interview and selection best practices.
  • Attend job fairs and college career events.
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel:

  • Some nationwide travel required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or HR experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent computer skills – must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Applicant Tracking Systems experience preferred.
  • A construction, engineering, or transportation background a plus.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
