Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Recruiter to support Service Centers with recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates. You will travel to centers and events, develop pipelines, and coordinate interviews for Hiring Managers.

The role involves collaboration with the Recruiting Manager to align strategies, reviewing applications, and assisting new hires with onboarding and orientation. Strong communication and multitasking are essential in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Travel to Service Centers, career fairs, school/club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to align strategies with goals.
• Develop and source strong candidate pipelines via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and agencies.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns; interview in person or virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers and coordinate scheduling.
• Maintain candidate communication through the interview process and ATS.
• Assist onboarding and training at the Service Center level.
• Provide training to new Service Center employees and coordinate with leadership on staffing needs.

Overview

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires withon-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
