An established industry player is looking for a dedicated lifeguard to oversee pool operations at Beale AFB. This position will be assigned to the Beale Pools, Beale AFB, CA. This is a temporary position, not to exceed November 1, 2025. This position is flexible, not guaranteed hours and does not receive benefits. This position has physical lifting requirements which require the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities at a designated pool. Serves as lead lifeguard and performs lifeguard duties. Oversees pool operations, maintains order, and enforces established rules of safety and behavior. Inspects and sets up facilities for scheduled activities, i.e. open swim, swim lessons, water aerobics, scuba classes, pool parties, lap swim, etc. Ensures the facility is opened at the scheduled times with adequate staffing. Cleans and maintains swimming facilities and ensures hourly chemical checks are conducted and documented. Establishes and monitors work schedules and provides on-the-job training to new employees. Resolves routine complaints with minimal impact to the activity and refers more complex or unique situations to the supervisor. May be assigned to perform swim instruction duties as needed if certified.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard training certification and prior experience as a lifeguard. Must have experience which has demonstrated leadership abilities.
