Job summary

The City of Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Recreation Facility Supervisor to assist in management and daily operations of the recreation facility. The role requires strong English communication, staff supervision, and customer service to ensure safe, high-quality experiences for patrons.

Responsibilities include scheduling, opening/closing facilities, enforcing rules, inventory control, and handling deposits.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English, both spoken and written, for safe operation.
• Experience in facility programming, recreation management, or closely related area is preferred.
• Must have CPR/AED certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Schedule facility use, coordinate reservations, and open/close facilities.
• Monitor activities to stay within guidelines and enforce safety rules.
• Supervise staff and volunteers; coordinate staffing needs.
• Maintain inventories and operate facility equipment.
• Provide information to patrons and ensure positive experiences.
• Maintain records, sign time sheets, and reconcile receipts and deposits.
• Generate supply lists and submit maintenance requests.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
