Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC in Medford Hillside, MA is seeking a caregiver to support residents with daily activities and recreational programs. The role includes organizing crafts, movies, games, and social events to encourage participation.

Qualifications include fluency in English and ability to provide age-appropriate care; a High School Diploma or GED is required; no prior experience is necessary as training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Recreation procedures: decorations, equipment setup, crafts, and awards.
  • Assist in scheduling movies, parties, and games/activities for residents.
  • Encourage participation in recreational activities and organize games, crafts, religious services, and parties.
  • Orchestrate group and individual re-motivation and reality orientation sessions to support resident self-worth.
  • Assist in-room residents: visiting, writing letters, errands, appointments.
  • Complete documentation in the resident’s medical record as directed.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Experience Required:

General work experience preferred but not required; will train Professional Licensure and Certification Required: N/A

Essential Functions

  1. Implement Recreation procedures as directed by the Recreation Director by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment, creating ceramics, needlework, woodwork and other crafts, escorting residents to and from Recreation area, and awarding prizes.
  2. Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.
  3. Encourage residents to participate in recreational social activities so that all residents are involved in activities by engaging in and organizing games, crafts, religious services, parties, etc.

  5. Assist in-room residents by visiting with them, writing letters, running errands, making appointments, etc., as necessary.

  7. Complete required documentation as directed in the resident’s medical record.
