Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC is seeking a dedicated staff member to support residents through recreation and social activities in a secure care setting. You will create crafts and coordinate events, escort residents to activities, and help with scheduling and transportation as needed.

The role emphasizes compassionate care for the elderly, documentation accuracy, and team collaboration to enhance residents’ quality of life and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for residents.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Recreation procedures by creating decorations and crafts, escorting residents to Recreation area, and awarding prizes.
  • Assist in scheduling movies, parties, and activities for residents.
  • Encourage resident participation in recreational activities and social events.
  • Assist in-room residents by visiting, writing letters, running errands, and making appointments.
  • Guide group or individual reminiscence sessions to support residents’ worth and self-esteem.
  • Complete required documentation in the resident's medical record.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Experience Required:

General work experience preferred but not required; will train Professional Licensure and Certification Required: N/A

Essential Functions
  • Implement Recreation procedures as directed by the Recreation Director by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment, creating ceramics, needlework, woodwork and other crafts, escorting residents to and from Recreation area, and awarding prizes.

  • Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.

  • Encourage residents to participate in recreational social activities so that all residents are involved in activities by engaging in and organizing games, crafts, religious services, parties, etc.
