Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC is seeking a dedicated recreation aide to support residents through engaging activities, crafts, and scheduled events. You will escort residents to the Recreation area, assist with movies, parties, and games, and help organize group activities to foster participation and social interaction.

You will document care in the resident’s medical record and participate in motivation and reality orientation sessions to promote self-worth and well-being, while applying

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must demonstrate ability to provide age-appropriate resident care.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.

Responsibilities

• Implement Recreation procedures by creating decorations, setting up equipment, crafts, and activities.
• Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties and providing games/activities.
• Encourage residents to participate in recreational social activities and events.
• Encourage residents to participate in group activities and events (religious services, parties, etc.).
• Assist in-room residents by visiting, writing letters, running errands, and making appointments.
• Participate in re-motivation and reality orientation sessions to support residents' worth and self-esteem.
• Complete required documentation in the resident’s medical record.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Essential Functions

• Implement Recreation procedures as directed by the Recreation Director by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment, creating ceramics, needlework, woodwork and other crafts, escorting residents to and from Recreation area, and awarding prizes.

• Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.

• Encourage residents to participate in recreational social activities so that all residents are involved in activities by engaging in and organizing games, crafts, religious services, parties, etc.
