Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Addiction Consult Service in Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals seeks a Recovery Support Navigator to provide non-clinical support to individuals with substance use-related needs in ED and inpatient settings. You will serve as a recovery guide, linking patients to treatment, recovery supports, harm reduction, and community resources.

You will collaborate with healthcare providers, Recovery Coaches, and community organizations to streamline admissions, follow up on

Qualifications

High School diploma required or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; may accept near completion under waiver.
Experience delivering community or hospital-based services is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter resource regarding addiction treatment and recovery pathways.
Engage ED patients seeking detoxification or treatment and educate on options.
Develop collaborations with detox and treatment centers to streamline referrals.
Identify beds based on patient needs and eligibility, and facilitate admissions.
Coordinate documentation for referrals and admissions with care teams.
Track referrals and follow up to reduce barriers to care.
Provide follow-up outreach after discharge to assess engagement with services.
Link patients to peer recovery networks and community resources.
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries while using personal recovery experience.
