Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Recovery Support Navigator to provide non-clinical support for individuals with substance use-related needs in ED and inpatient settings at Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals. You will facilitate connections to detox, treatment, and community resources, while coordinating with healthcare teams and Recovery Coach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Training or relevant work or lived experience in mental health and/or addiction/recovery preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; may waive for candidates in their last semester.
• Experience delivering community-based or hospital-based services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter resource regarding local addiction treatment and recovery supports.
• Engage individuals in the ED seeking detoxification and educate on options.
• Develop and maintain relationships with detoxification and treatment centers to streamline referrals.
• Identify detoxification and treatment beds based on needs, preferences, and eligibility.
• Coordinate with patient, treatment center, Recovery Coach, and healthcare team to submit referrals and admissions.
• Track referrals and follow up with centers and patients to reduce barriers.
• Provide follow-up outreach after ED or inpatient discharge to assess engagement.
• Link to peer recovery networks and community resources when appropriate.
• Document patient interactions and care coordination activities in Epic.
