Beth Israel Lahey Health's Addiction Consult Service seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist to provide non-clinical support in Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals. You will act as a recovery guide, connect patients to services, and advocate for recovery goals.

Responsibilities include leading group recovery sessions, documenting in EPIC, educating patients and families, and coordinating with cross-functional teams; requires lived addiction experience and a high school diploma.

Qualificações

• 18 years or older; high school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Driver’s license and car required.
• Peer with lived addiction experience; recovery without reoccurrence encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Subject matter expert in Addiction Treatment and recovery pathways.
• Communicate treatment options to patients.
• Assess treatment needs and develop collaborative plan with patient and supports.
• Lead Group Recovery Sessions.
• Coordinate with ED, inpatient, and community visits; follow up on referrals.
• Document in EPIC and handle administrative tasks.
• Educate patients and healthcare peers on SUD and AUD.
• Use motivational interviewing to explore factors leading to AUD/SUD.
• Maintain professional boundaries while sharing recovery experiences appropriately.
• Provide linkage to peer networks and cross-functional teams.
