Job summary

Cumberland Heights Foundation, Inc. is seeking a Recovery Assistant to help monitor a patient group and support daily needs in a safe, therapeutic environment. You will assist clinical staff and coordinate with teams to maintain quality care and recovery-focused activities on campus.

The role requires strong communication, adaptability, and basic computer skills. Some shifts may include weekends and on-call coverage, with potential local travel to affiliated facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year experience in addictions treatment preferred.
• CPRS certification preferred but not required.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License preferred; vehicle may be used for transports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes new patients and family members and orients them to campus and program.
• Assists in managing patient community as a therapeutic milieu and supports staff.
• Assists with in-house and external 12-step meetings and discussions.
• Monitors patients, conducts rounds, and helps create a safe environment.
• Transports patients to meetings and activities within safety guidelines.
• Supports recreation and therapies; assists with crisis de-escalation as needed.
• Performs CPR and First Aid as needed; participates in team meetings and quality activities.
• Documents information in the electronic patient record and supports program improvements.
