Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to assist clients with one-on-one support and community reintegration.

This role emphasizes recovery, harm reduction, and engagement in both community and facility settings. Ideal candidates have a GED, at least 6 months in behavioral health, and a CPSS certification or plan to obtain it within 90 days of hire; a valid AZ driver’s license and clear MV records are required.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months’ experience in Behavioral Health and/or Substance Abuse field.
• Minimum of six months recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.
• Valid AZ Driver’s License in good standing.
• Clean 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
• CPSS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a Peer Support Specialist addressing one-on-one support needs.
• Provide day-to-day problem-solving support for reintegration into the community.
• Engage with clients using assertive engagement and harm reduction approaches.
