Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to provide one-to-one support and help clients reintegrate into the community.

You will engage with clients in community and facility settings, applying harm-reduction approaches and recovery-oriented practices to foster a safe, inclusive environment. Ideal candidates hold CPSS certification or are within 90 days of obtaining it, and have experience in behavioral health or substance use disorders, with a strong commitment to

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six (6) months' experience in Behavioral Health and/or Substance Abuse field required.
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.
• Current AZ Driver's License (Valid and in good standing).
• Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or able to obtain a CPSS certification within 90 days (3 months) of hire.
• Addiction and Substance Use Disorders certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support and day-to-day problem-solving.
• Engage with members in community and facility using assertive engagement and harm reduction.
• Promote recovery and a safe, inclusive environment for clients.
