Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to support clients in PCMH/OTP Community-Based Services. You will provide one-on-one support, aid day-to-day problem-solving, and assist reintegration into community and residential settings.

You will apply recovery-oriented practices such as assertive engagement and harm reduction to build trust and promote ongoing treatment, fostering a safe, inclusive recovery environment for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in Behavioral Health and/or Substance Abuse field required.
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.
• Current AZ Driver’s License (Valid and in good standing).
• Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or able to obtain a CPSS certification within 90 days (3 months) of hire.
• Addiction and Substance Use Disorders certification preferred.
• Must have Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and assist with day-to-day problem-solving to support normalization and reintegration into the community.
• Engage clients using assertive engagement, harm reduction, and peer support approaches in community and facility settings.
• Promote a safe and inclusive recovery environment and support ongoing recovery goals.
