Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) seeks a Peer Support Specialist for PCMH/OTP Community-Based Services to address day-to-day problem solving and support for normalization and reintegration into the community and the facility.

The role uses recovery philosophy with the client and promotes a safe, inclusive recovery environment. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, 6 months recovery from SUD/mental health, 6 months BH/SUD experience, valid AZ license, and CPSS certification within 90 days

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Minimum 6 months experience in Behavioral Health and/or Substance Abuse field.
• Valid AZ Driver's License and clear 39-month MVR.
• CPSS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Addiction and Substance Use Disorders certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one recovery support and daily problem-solving for reintegration into the community and facilities.
• Engage clients using assertive engagement, harm reduction and peer support approaches.
• Promote a safe, inclusive recovery environment and support clients in pursuing recovery goals.
