The role uses recovery philosophy with the client and promotes a safe, inclusive recovery environment. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, 6 months recovery from SUD/mental health, 6 months BH/SUD experience, valid AZ license, and CPSS certification within 90 days

Job Summary
The Peer Support Specialists (PSS) assigned to PCMH/OTP Community-Based Services will perform only the duties of a Peer Support Specialist addresses one-on-one support needs and provides support for day-to-day problem-solving related to normalization and reintegration into the community. The Peer Support Specialist utilizes best practices of assertive engagement, harm reduction and peer support when working to engage with members in the community and the facility. The Peer Support Specialist embraces the recovery philosophy and promotes a safe and inclusive recovery environment for clients.
