Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking a Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach to join a multidisciplinary team in residential and outpatient settings. The role emphasizes using lived experience to inspire hope, mentor participants, and support recovery and wellness goals.

Responsibilities include group facilitation, care coordination, and contributing to person-centered treatment planning. Certifications in peer support or recovery coaching are preferred, with potential internal

Qualifications

• Must have personal recovery experience to offer hope and encouragement.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
• Current certification as a Certified Peer Support Specialist and/or Recovery Coach or ability to obtain Michigan Peer Support Specialist Certification after hire.

Responsibilities

• Use personal recovery experience to provide hope and encouragement to participants.
• Participate in clinical and staff meetings as assigned.
• Assist participants in planning and self-advocacy within the program.
• Document interactions in the electronic medical record and coordinate with treatment team.
• Lead or co-lead group programming and support recovery-focused goals.
