Pine Rest is seeking a Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach in Grand Rapids, MI. You will use your lived experience to inspire hope, provide coaching, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support recovery goals.

The role emphasizes patient empowerment, self-advocacy, and community inclusion, with duties ranging from group activities to assisting with housing, benefits, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months post-high school education in behavioral sciences preferred.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist or Recovery Coach certification, or ability to obtain Michigan certification.
• Experience in behavioral health or peer support strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Use personal recovery experience to offer hope and encouragement to people served.
• Participate in clinical and staff meetings.
• Assist in person-centered planning processes.
• Encourage self-advocacy and active participation in treatment.
• Document interactions in the electronic medical record.
• In individual or group settings, provide services promoting independence and community inclusion.
• May schedule and lead group programming and assist with paperwork.
• Provide training for direct care staff on recovery-oriented approaches.
