Job summary

Hope Inc. is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to help members advance in their recovery through coaching and mentoring.

You will lead one-to-one and group sessions on site and in members’ residences, coordinating with the treatment team to set achievable goals and steps. You will work closely with the outpatient team, provide frontline site support, and assist with daily living skills and transportation when needed.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High School/GED + 2 years’ behavioral health experience or a Bachelor's/Master’s in a behavioral health field.
• Graduation from Peer Support training, required within one year of employment.
• Must identify as an individual with lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorder.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license with a clean MV record (≤2 moving violations or suspension in past 3 years).
• Current 1st Aid and CPR certification.
• Proof of negative TB test within the last year.
• Fingerprint Clearance, if required by program.

Responsibilities

• Relates own recovery process through coaching, role modeling and mentoring.
• Assist members in articulating personal recovery goals and plan steps with treatment team.
• Provide one-to-one and group sessions on site and in residences.
• Navigate and use community resources effectively.
• Act as liaison between member and outpatient team.
• Provide site support including front desk and basic cleaning to ensure safe environment.
• Support members with daily living skills (meal prep, shower, laundry).
• Transport members to appointments if needed.
• Ensure safety of living environment and assess utilities, furnishings, and fire hazards.
• Document behavioral health records per requirements.
• Promote HOPE, Inc. to the community and funding sources.
