Job summary
Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach to join our multidisciplinary teams in residential and outpatient settings. You will draw on your personal recovery journey to inspire hope, mentor clients, and promote wellness.
You’ll collaborate with staff to empower participants toward independence and self-management. Responsibilities include facilitating group and individual activities, documenting care in the EMR, and helping clients
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Life experience identifying as a peer or coach.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in written and verbal format.
Responsibilities
- Use personal recovery experience to offer hope and encouragement to participants.
- Participate in clinical and staff meetings.
- Participate in person-centered planning processes as requested.
- Work with program leadership to implement program changes using evidence-based practices.
- Assist participants to become active in their treatment and support self-advocacy.
