Job summary

Seattle's Union Gospel Mission in Washington, DC seeks a Case Manager I to join a 24-hour care team in a residential recovery program. You will conduct intake assessments, manage caseloads, provide crisis intervention, and coordinate referrals and spiritual guidance for guests in recovery.

This role emphasizes advocacy-based support, confidential documentation, and coordination of Bible studies and recovery curricula within a Christ-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• A combination of education and at least two years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of one year of case management experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and screenings for new program guests.
• Manage an assigned caseload of guests and meet weekly to provide case management support.
• Provide crisis intervention, chemical dependency support, and referrals to external services as needed.
• Maintain updates and case notes using the Client Tracker system (CT11) and other files.
• Administers supervised urine screenings per program policy.
• Conduct welfare checks in guest living areas and restrooms.
• Help coordinate Bible studies, support groups, and addiction recovery curriculum.
• Foster a positive, Christ-centered atmosphere throughout the facility.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, healing environment.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and initiatives.
• Perform other duties to support the Mission’s success.
