Job summary

Boston Rescue Mission seeks a dedicated Case Manager to support clients through screening, intake, referrals and discharge planning within a therapeutic, accountable recovery environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Social Work (Masters preferred), with experience in homeless services, group therapy, and cross-cultural work. This is a full-time/part-time position with benefits and opportunities to collaborate with community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in Social work or equivalent with at least two years experience in screening, mentoring and discipleship, 12 steps programs, group dynamics and working directly with homeless individuals.
• An ability to function in cross-cultural settings and to be a role model, with openness to the vision of the Boston Rescue Mission and a compassionate heart for the urban poor.

Responsibilities

• Help establish respect and acceptance by implementing program guidelines for a safe, non-judgmental environment.
• Maintain positive working relationships with BRM staff, volunteers and others involved with case management programs.
• Screen, intake and admit clients to appropriate case management programs; communicate statistics to supervisors.
• Facilitate or supervise group therapy and related activities.
• Represent the Mission at special events and coordinate with external agencies.
