Job summary

Lighthouse Mission Ministries is seeking a Men’s Recovery Program Case Manager in Bellingham, WA. This full-time role supports residents by managing individualized service plans, tracking progress, and coordinating with community resources to promote lasting recovery and independence.

You will join a Christ-centered team, work with staff and partners, and participate in a rotating weekend schedule with occasional evenings and holidays to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in social services, working with individuals experiencing homelessness, and/or in the rescue mission environment preferred.
• Active church/prayer life and agreement with Lighthouse Mission’s Statement of Faith.
• Knowledge of homelessness, poverty, addiction, domestic violence, and recovery.
• Strong administrative skills and organization.
• Able to use judgment to make independent decisions.
• Sensitivity to cultural diversity in all forms is required.
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug and criminal background screenings.
• High boundary setting and self-reflection skills.
• Basic motivational interviewing skills preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport with program residents and volunteers.
• Ability to remain calm and calm others in an emergency and/or confrontational situations.
• Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with LMM staff and with a diverse client base.
• Practical interpersonal communication skills--both written and oral--for communication with co-workers, men and women staying as residents, and outside agencies.
• Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Gmail, and Google Calendar.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized case management to assigned residents throughout the Recovery Program.
• Maintain an assigned caseload with size based on census and needs.
• Develop, monitor, and update individualized service plans with residents.
• Conduct regular one-on-one case management meetings and document progress.
• Complete timely case notes and assessments per standards.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
• Monitor resident compliance and report concerns to directors.
• Assist with accountability activities such as drug screenings and curfew monitoring.
• Coordinate with community partners to connect residents with resources.
• Serve as liaison between residents and outside agencies to promote referrals.
