Job summary

Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge is seeking a Client Care Specialist to serve as the daily presence on the care floor, guiding clients through the Life Renewal/IOL program with compassion and accountability.

You will monitor client wellbeing, intervene when needed, and coordinate with the care team to maintain a safe and supportive recovery environment. The role emphasizes spiritual support, de-escalation skills, and strong interpersonal care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet at least one of: college in health/human services leading to BA/BS/associate; or one year of experience with vulnerable adults; or experience as a mental health certified peer specialist.
• Comfort and compassion for individuals facing life-controlling challenges.
• Willingness to support client spiritual growth and participate in chapel services.
• Valid MN driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have at least 1 year of freedom from substance use.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support clients in the Life Renewal/IOL program with encouragement and oversight.
• Maintain a safe, calm floor environment and intervene early to prevent escalations.
• Serve as first contact for client questions and needs during shifts.
• Administer and supervise medication management and documentation.
• Transport clients to appointments and outings using MnTC vehicles.
• Provide spiritual support on request and maintain trauma-informed care in interactions.
