Job summary

Mn Adult & Teen Challenge in Rochester, MN, seeks a Client Care Specialist to lead and support clients in the Life Renewal/IOL program. You’ll provide encouragement, oversight of activities, and compassionate accountability on shift, becoming the daily presence the care team relies on.

Responsibilities include safe medication handling, floor supervision, and timely communication with staff. Participation in spiritual activities and trauma-informed care are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Course of study in health or human services leading to a degree preferred.
• Comfort and compassion in working with individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support living and programming floors; assist clients on shift.
• Serve as first point of contact for questions and concerns during shift.
• Maintain a safe, calm floor environment and observe client mood patterns.
• Provide timely client updates and shift information to staff and incoming team.
• Assist in client intake and discharges; document in logs and reports.
• Supervise medication administration and ensure safe self-administration.
• Transport clients using MnTC vehicles and supervise tests as required.
• Foster healthy relationships and spiritual support per client requests.
• Apply trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing to support self-regulation.
