Job Description:

Security Clearance:

  • Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Education/Certification Mandatory: A college degree is preferred but not required; Public Trust clearance.

Work Experience Mandatory:

  • Experience in records or data management.
  • Proficiency with the most current versions of Microsoft Windows (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11).
  • Previous training experience with the ability to write training modules.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral skills for interacting with all levels of personnel.
  • Some experience with electronic records.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Work Experience Nice To Have:

  • Federal Experience EPA.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • The RMS labor category is for positions requiring records management experience and familiarity with automated information systems, without supervisory duties.
  • The RMS position provides technical support for records management programs, records centers, or other information services under a Records Information Manager.
  • The RMS II should be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, database administration, procedure development, and record management problem solving.
  • Technical duties may include responding to inquiries and using automated systems, varying by work site needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The RMS Level II supports tasks in a records center aligned with a RIM level.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail, supported by training and documentation.
  • Responsibilities include managing records center content, electronic records management, EPA regional records, program file plans, and handling Confidential Business Information.
  • Serve as a records liaison to customers, understanding basic records concepts, organization, and following established processes.
