Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) seeks a Records Specialist to provide high-level administrative support, answer calls, handle public records requests, and maintain databases in Tallahassee.

You will coordinate mail, supplies, and travel requests, prepare correspondence, and deliver courteous service to internal and external customers, with strict compliance to state security requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and basic filing.
• Skill in MS Word, Excel and Access.
• Ability to type letters, memoranda and other standard business forms with correct spelling, punctuation and grammar.
• Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Answering incoming calls and providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Mail distribution and requisition of supplies.
• Preparing correspondence and handling public requests.
• Arranging meetings and travel requests; conducting clerical duties as required.
• Maintaining various databases.
