Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) seeks a Motorist Services Specialist to evaluate license and vehicle registrations, enter data in ORION and CRS, and respond to inquiries. You will handle mail, payments, refunds, and daily financial reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience using ORION, FRVIS and CRS.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to organize filing systems.
• Ability to collect fees and process refunds.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Experience processing mail and routing.
• Ability to proofread documents for accuracy.
• Ability to compose clear correspondence.
• Typing and data entry skills.
• Proficient with general office equipment (PC, phone, scanner, calculator, fax, copier).
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to provide customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and review license and registration applications for eligibility and compliance.
• Enter and maintain data electronically in ORION and CRS; compose correspondence and respond to emails.
• Receive and route incoming and outgoing mail; may handle payments and refunds.
• Generate daily financial reports and reconcile ledgers as needed.
