Job summary

The Oregon Department of Transportation’s DMV headquarters in Salem is seeking a Record Inquiry Support Specialist to assist customers with record access, resolve account issues, and protect confidentiality in line with Oregon privacy laws. This role suits problem solvers who deliver outstanding customer service and exercise careful judgment with sensitive information.

Qualifications

Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.
An associate’s degree in any field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Process and maintain Record Inquiry Accounts; research and answer questions by phone or email from current account holders.
Answer questions from prospective account holders regarding the application process, available services and records.
Accept and review applications and apply payments to accounts.
Provide support to the Confidential Records Desk and Law Enforcement Desk by answering phones and processing requests.
