Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to provide on-site reconstruction support, performing framing, trim, cabinetry, insulation, and related tasks under minimal supervision. The role involves coordinating with BELFOR estimators, expanding capabilities from residential to commercial projects, and pursuing safe, timely completion of multiple projects.

The position requires hands-on carpentry skills, strong attention to detail, and willingness to travel or work nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience across residential, commercial, and multi-family projects.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and take initiative.
• Experience assisting with scope development alongside BELFOR estimators.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and seek guidance as needed.
• Direct questions to appropriate resource.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for dust and contaminants.
• Perform floodcutting, salvaging, and labeling baseboards/cabinets/doors.
• Attend safety trainings and complete projects with shrink wrap.
• Identify insulation types and R-values.
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing, siding.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and maintain equipment.
• Meet BELFOR standards and safeguard property.
• Maintain customer service orientation and work under time constraints.
• Occasionally work nights, weekends, and travel as required.
• Report hours and materials used accurately.
• Participate in BELFOR safety trainings.
