Job summary

Carvana seeks a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring quality and productivity targets are met. You will lead 5 leads and up to 70 frontline associates in a lean manufacturing setting, driving continuous improvement and staff development.

You will mentor staff, manage capacity, and ensure adherence to standards while fostering a collaborative, safety-conscious work culture.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Experience leading and developing associates
• Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and metrics
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record (last 3 years)
• Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work with and through teams to achieve results
• Strong analysis and decision making ability
• Proficient computer skills
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends
• Ability to walk up to three miles daily
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
• Use of safety equipment as required

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and develop direct reports; provide coaching and performance management.
• Contribute to strategic plans and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, procedures and performance targets.
• Create a positive, communicative team environment aligned with Carvana values.
• Recruit, orient, and train supervisory staff; maintain staffing.
• Ensure training and certification processes are followed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Manage production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety and loss prevention guidelines are followed.
• Guide the team to meet performance metrics and continuous improvement.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
