Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to oversee the Inspection Center operations, directing 5+ leads and up to 70 associates in a lean manufacturing setting. You will mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and ensure quality and production goals are met while maintaining cost objectives.

The role emphasizes OSHA-equivalent safety, team engagement, and adherence to Carvana values, with a focus on sustaining high-volume, high-quality vehicle reconditioning.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• 18+ years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and develop direct reports and succession plans through coaching, leadership development and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create an environment that inspires communication, team cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff through recruitment, orientation, and training.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are followed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team on performance metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production and cost objectives.
