Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise daily operations in a Carvana Inspection Center. You will direct 5 leads and up to 70 associates in a lean manufacturing environment to achieve quality, production, and cost objectives.

You will mentor staff, drive training and succession planning, and ensure adherence to standards while maintaining high engagement and continuous improvement across the team. This role requires strong leadership and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Recruit, orient, and train supervisory staff; maintain staffing levels.
• Ensure training and certification processes are followed.
• Coach leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Manage production capacity and assist with planning.
• Comply with health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
