Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team and manage daily operations. You’ll direct 5 leads and up to 70 front-line associates within a lean manufacturing environment, maintaining quality, production, and cost objectives.

You will mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to Carvana's standards while building a culture of safety and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to deliver projects and meet company metrics.
• English proficiency (read, write, speak).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record in last 3 years.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to walk up to three miles daily.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and develop direct reports; manage performance.
• Contribute to strategic plans and objectives aligned with the company.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance targets.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain supervisory staff through hiring and training.
• Ensure production capacity and assist with production planning.
• Ensure health and safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision to the team for meeting performance metrics.
