Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to lead an Inspection Center team, overseeing daily operations and a lean, continuous-improvement culture. You will direct 5+ leads and up to 70 front-line associates across reconditioning activities, ensuring quality, safety, and cost objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Ability to deliver projects and meet metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and manage direct reports and plan succession through coaching and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive team environment aligned with Carvana's values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Manage production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety and loss prevention compliance.
• Guide the team to meet performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
