Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center and lead a team of 5 leads and up to 70 front‑line associates in a lean manufacturing setting. You will drive continuous improvement while meeting quality, production, and cost objectives.

This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of lean principles, and a proven track record in developing teams. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license with a clean record (last 3 years).
• Ability to work overtime and weekends; withstand a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and walk long distances as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor direct reports and plan succession through coaching and training.
• Execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive team environment and Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Coordinate progression path training and certification.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Maintain production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines compliance.
• Guide the team to meet performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
