Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise an Inspection Center team, directing 5 leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment. You will drive continuous improvement, align with company goals, and maintain high-quality standards.

The role requires 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing, strong leadership, and the ability to develop associates while meeting production and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligning with the company.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that inspires communication, teamwork and Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with production planning.
• Ensure health and safety and loss prevention guidelines are followed.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team in meeting performance metrics.
• Engage the team to improve quality, production and costs.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
