Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to lead a high-volume Inspection Center, directing 5 leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment to meet quality, production, and cost objectives while upholding Carvana's standards.

You will coach and develop the team, implement strategic plans, ensure safe operations and training progress, and collaborate across departments to sustain a culture of continuous improvement and high associate engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligning with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, systems, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that inspires communication, team cohesion and adherence to Carvana's values.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity levels for each line and assist planning.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team in meeting performance metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production, and cost objectives with the team.
• Participate in and lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
