Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise a team in a Carvana Inspection Center, directing up to 70 associates in a lean manufacturing setting. You will maintain a culture of continuous improvement, drive quality, production, and cost objectives, and mentor a leadership team to achieve department goals.

The role requires strong management experience in automotive or lean environments, proven leadership ability, and a commitment to Carvana's values.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to deliver projects and meet metrics.
• English language proficiency (read, write, speak).
• 18+ years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with clean record (last 3 years).
• Ability to handle high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work with and through teams to achieve results.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to walk up to three miles daily.
• Stand for extended periods; tolerate varying conditions; PPE may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive communication, teamwork, and Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff through recruitment, orientation, and training.
• Ensure training and certification processes are followed.
• Mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention compliance.
• Provide vision to meet performance metrics.
• Engage team to achieve quality, production and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
