Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center operations, directing 5+ leads and up to 70 associates in a lean manufacturing setting. You will drive quality, production, and cost objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high engagement.

This role requires 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean environments, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor teams.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and metrics.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and develop direct reports and succession plans.
• Contribute to strategic plans and align with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a constructive team environment aligned with Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Oversee training, certification, and progression paths.
• Provide coaching and feedback to leads and associates.
• Manage production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention compliance.
• Guide the team to meet performance targets.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
