Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise a team at the Inspection Center, directing operations from a lean manufacturing perspective. You will lead five leads and up to 70 associates to maintain high quality and efficiency in vehicle reconditioning.

The role focuses on continuous improvement, coaching, and ensuring safety standards while meeting production and cost objectives. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans and objectives aligned with the company.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that inspires positive communication, team cohesion, and adherence to Carvana's Values.
• Maintain supervisory staff through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity levels for each line and assist with production planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team to meet performance metrics.
• Engage the team to improve quality, production, and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
