Job summary

Carvana seeks a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team, directing up to 70 front-line associates and five leads in a lean manufacturing environment. The role focuses on continuous improvement while achieving quality, production, and cost objectives.

You will mentor staff, ensure training paths, and manage daily operations to align with Carvana’s standards and values. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that promotes positive communication, team cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity levels for each line and assist with production planning.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team to meet performance metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production, and cost objectives with the team.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
