Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team, guiding daily operations and ensuring quality standards. The role involves mentoring leads, coordinating training, and driving continuous improvement to meet production and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and metrics.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Foster a positive, communicative team environment and Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are executed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Ensure adequate production capacity levels and assist with planning.
• Ensure health and safety and loss prevention guidelines are followed.
• Provide vision and guidance to meet performance metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
