Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team, ensuring daily operations meet quality, production, and cost objectives. You will mentor leads and associates, drive training, and align activities with Carvana’s values in a lean manufacturing setting.

The role requires 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean environments, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. This is a full-time, on-site position at Carvana's facilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to deliver projects and meet company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Create a team environment with strong communication and Carvana values.
• Recruit, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Drive training and certification processes for team members.
• Assist with production planning and capacity management.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention compliance.
• Guide the team to meet quality, production, and cost targets.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
