Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise an Inspection Center team, driving daily operations in a lean environment. You will lead 5+ leads and up to 70 front-line associates, ensuring quality, production and cost objectives while upholding Carvana values.

The role requires 5 years in management, knowledge of lean principles, and strong leadership and coaching skills. May involve overtime, with safety and process improvements at the core.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driving license and clean record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and coach direct reports and plan succession.
• Contribute to strategic plans and align with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment aligned with Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff through hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Ensure training and certification progress for teams.
• Provide feedback to leads and associates on competency.
• Ensure sufficient capacity and assist with production planning.
• Enforce health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Guide reconditioning team to meet performance metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production, and cost objectives.
