Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise an Inspection Center team, directing daily operations and maintaining lean manufacturing standards. The role requires coaching, safety leadership, and strategic execution to meet quality and cost objectives.

You will lead 5 leads and up to 70 front-line associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement while ensuring peak production efficiency. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and coach direct reports and plan succession.
• Contribute to strategic plans and align with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment aligned with Carvana values.
• Recruit, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure progression path training and certification is consistently executed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Manage production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention compliance.
• Guide team toward performance targets and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
