Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center, directing a team of leads and frontline associates in a lean manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, quality, production, and cost objectives, with a focus on coaching and performance management.

The manager will ensure adherence to standards, develop strategic plans, and maintain a culture of high engagement across the reconditioning process while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience developing associates and delivering results.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and develop direct reports and succession plans through coaching and training.
• Contribute to strategic plans and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Create an environment fostering positive communication, teamwork, and Carvana values.
• Recruit, onboard, and train supervisory staff; manage progression paths and certifications.
• Ensure production capacity and assist with planning.
• Enforce health, safety, and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to meet performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
