Job summary

BW Design Group seeks a Reality Capture Manager to lead core capture capabilities across design packages. You will drive laser scanning, drone mapping, and BIM workflows, ensuring accurate data for design and digital twin initiatives.

You will manage projects, develop scalable workflows, and mentor a team of specialists, while collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to expand services and value across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hands-on reality capture and geospatial experience in an AEC environment.
• Proficiency with terrestrial laser scanning platforms (Trimble X9, Leica, Faro).
• Strong point cloud processing knowledge (Trimble RealWorks, Autodesk ReCap).
• Experience integrating point cloud data into Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM workflows.
• Travel up to 30–40% to project sites; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead Reality Capture as a core internal capability across design packages.
• Develop utilization targets and service quality measures.
• Define capture scope, deliverables, and pricing within packages.
• Expand scan-to-BIM, drone mapping, asset documentation, and digital twins.
• Oversee reality capture projects from planning through final delivery.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, equipment utilization.
• Develop scalable workflows and standards for QA/QC.
• Lead automation and AI-enabled data processing initiatives.
• Mentor Reality Capture Specialists and Technicians.
• Establish career development paths and certifications.
