Job summary

Design Group is seeking a Reality Capture Manager to lead our reality capture capabilities, including laser scanning, drones, photogrammetry, and scan-to-BIM. You will drive project delivery, set standards, and partner with cross-functional teams to embed capture workflows in design projects.

In this role you will mentor specialists, manage budgets and vendors, and shape future service offerings while ensuring quality and timely data delivery for clients across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on reality capture, laser scanning, or geospatial services in an AEC environment.
• Proficiency with terrestrial laser scanning platforms (e.g., Trimble X9, Leica, Faro).
• Experience integrating point cloud data into Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM workflows and LOD standards.
• Experience with 360° cameras and image hosting (DroneDeploy/OpenSpace/Cupix).
• Ability to scope and price professional services engagements; valid driver's license; travel 30-40%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reality capture projects from planning through final delivery.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, and equipment utilization.
• Develop scalable workflows and standards for quality and efficiency.
• Lead subcontractors and external vendors when needed.
• Drive adoption of reality capture across the firm and evolve it toward standalone services.
